Julie Dreixler to Chief Human Resources Officer at Post-Newsweek Stations, Inc.
Julie Dreixler has been appointed Chief Human Resources Officer at Post-Newsweek Stations, Inc. (PNS). Post–Newsweek Stations, Inc., a subsidiary of Graham Holdings Company, formerly The Washington Post, owns six local television stations in major cities – recognized as news leaders – that reach almost 8% of U.S. television households. The stations also broadcast digital channels focusing on classic television and lifestyle programming, in addition to operating market-leading websites, mobile sites and mobile apps delivering breaking news, weather and community news, reaching millions of users across each platform. All are deeply involved in local initiatives and public service projects designed to serve, inform and improve their respective communities.
As Chief Human Resources Officer, Julie reports to the CEO and is responsible for all aspects of recruiting, training, employee relations, compensation and benefits for PNS. She serves as the Company’s Chief Human Resources strategist and works with PNS Senior Management, as well as individuals at Graham Holdings Company, playing a key leadership role in identifying, growing, and developing PNS employees.
Prior to joining PNS, Julie served as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer at Ventas. She also served as Vice President, Human Resources at Cardinal Health, Supply Chain Services; Sara Lee Coffee & Tea; and Citibank.
Julie received her B.A. in Public Administration and Political Science from Augustana College and her M.S. in Human Resources/Industrial Relations from Loyola University of Chicago.
Julie is a board member of Envision Unlimited and serves on the Girl Scouts USA – Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana Council of 100. Additionally, she is a member of the Human Resources Management Association of Chicago (HRMAC), the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), and the Society for Human Resources Professionals (SHRP).
