Michael Kern to North American Director of HR at IFS
Michael Kern recently has been appointed as North American Director of Human Resources at IFS, the global enterprise application company.
Michael brings extensive experience in employment law, international HR management, and corporate strategy to his new role. Prior to joining IFS, Michael was Senior Vice President of Human Resources & Administration at Environmental Systems Design, and held HR Director and HR Manager positions at Alterian, Open Port Technology, and SAP/Campbell Software.
Michael obtained his B.A. in Philosophy and Economics from Boston College, and his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
Among his volunteer activities, Michael serves as Director of the Chicago Engineers’ Foundation, which encourages young Chicagoans to pursue careers in engineering. He also volunteers with Room to Read, an organization which collaborates with communities and local governments across Asia and Africa to develop literacy skills and a habit of reading among primary school children, and supports girls to complete secondary school with the life skills they will need to succeed in school and beyond.
Michael lives in Highland Park with his wife Jennifer and their three children, Grace, Caroline and Andrew.
